More Than Just Heartburn

Acid reflux disease raises the risk of oesophageal adenocarcinoma. This deadly cancer is on the rise; the reason are unclear, but experts speculate diet, obesity, even some heartburn drugs may be partly to blame.

New research may offer a drug-free acid reflux treatment. Doctors in Australia inflated a balloon to mimic the effects of a meal in the stomachs of 14 people. Then they used a type of acupuncture on a spot known for its connection to gastrointestinal problems - the wrist.

Afterwards, subject had 40 percent fewer unwanted events that allow acid to seep into the oesophagus. That's impressive, but more study is needed to prove the effectiveness.

There is still no definite causes of esophageal cancer being found until today. But I'd say that there are a lot of causes found on our daily lifestyle as of today. Thanks for sharing this helpful information. I'm sure this would add help to our researchers looking for medical explanations and cure for this kind of disease.
Here let me show you some of the symptoms I found, http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/esophageal-cancer/DS00500/DSECTION=symptoms
