Effective Natural Treatment For Eczema

By George White

Anyone who has experienced eczema will admit that it is one of the most uncomfortable experiences. It comes with itching, discoloration and reddening, among other conditions. Some may escalate to form blisters. Natural treatment for eczema is the best option since it shields you from damaging side effects. What home remedies can you use and how are they prepared?

Coconut oil is the most straight forward option for this skin condition. This oil sinks into the skin and in the process reverses the deficiency that causes most of these skin conditions. Coconut oil is made of lipids which are better for your skin than ordinary oils. The oil is applied directly on a skin that is moist using ordinary water. This oil should be left on the surface for the entire day.

Most skin conditions are individualistic. To find success, jojoba has proven effective. In fact, its structure is not that of oil but liquid wax. The results are an incredibly moist skin. Jojoba contains a recognizable amount of alcohol but it does not dry the dermis like the other artificial alcohols. Jojoba is in fact used to massage the itchy skin and is very effective when applied three times in a day.

The use of butter allows you to combine other oils especially for aroma therapy purposes. Butter is thickened using bee wax which adds to its healing properties and protecting the surface against damage by elements. By melting it in a bowl, you liquefy it and are at liberty to use aromatic oils.

Vegetable glycerin is an excellent option for persons who are not friendly to oils. This glycerin based on vegetable and thus considered the most pure form to use. It works by restoring moisture on the affected area thus eliminating the itching effect. It pulls water from the inner skin, making it admirably soft and moist. They are mixed in the ratio of one to one, but you can alter this ratio to suit personal preference.

Put in place a long term plan. You will need to catalogue all that goes into your body and applied on the skin. It helps you to monitor the allergens and irritants that cause irritation. Take note of the effect of soaps and medication especially in causing irritation. By taking note of these triggers, you will avoid them and thus have a healthy and comfortable skin.

The solution to itching does not have to involve complex concoctions. There is an old way of treating skin conditions that involves using soaked oats. Application of oats leaves the skin soothed and moist. The choice of oats is because of its anti-inflammation properties. The oats are soaked for 10-15 minutes before being applied.

Honey is an all time skin healer. It works perfectly on broken skin by providing healing properties. It also has anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory elements. Since honey is sticky, it can only be applied on selective places. Honey is applied, allowed to breath for a while before being cleaned off. Two or three applications in a day are sufficient.
